Angela Maragkopoulou assumes the role of Chief Digitalization and Information Officer to further evolve digital transformation and new business model set up

Sunlight Group, member of the Olympia Group, welcomes Angela Maragkopoulou, as Chief Digitalization and Information Officer to lead the company’s transformation, drive innovation forward, and further strengthen the leadership team. Her expertise will be instrumental in, ensuring resilience, navigating the dynamic landscape of cybersecurity and leading complex initiatives that require extensive integration across business capabilities.

Throughout her 24-year career in Greece and Germany, Mrs. Maragkopoulou has excelled as a Technologist CTO/CIO, specializing in Cloud modernization, AI, IoT, data analytics, and transformative strategies, including crisis management. In her previous role as Chief Operating Officer at DWS Group, Mrs. Maragkopoulou not only addressed digitalization in finance but also laid the groundwork for Asset Manager's IT landscape modernization and Enterprise Data Management. Her journey from Network Operations to complex Commercial Digitalization and Complex Communications solutions design and service management for large MNCs within Vodafone to leading a global IoT product and operational unit before moving forward to Deutsche Telecom and Telekom IT GmbH as CIO B2B and SVP Data Analytics, showcases her practical and impactful business approaches. She holds a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Electronics and Radioelectrology, and an MBA with a focus on Telecommunication Networks Financials from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and she is fluent in English and German.
